Thunnosauria (Del griego para "lagarto atún" - thunnos que significa "atún" y sauros que traduce "lagarto") es un clado extinto de ictiosaurios parvipelvianos que vivieron desde el Jurásico Inferior hasta principios del Cretácico Superior de Asia, Australia, Europa, Norteamérica y Suramérica. Nombrado por Ryosuke Motani en 1999, este grupo contiene a taxones basales como Ichthyosaurus y Stenopterygius y a la familia Ophthalmosauridae.
