Los gadiformes o anacanthini son un orden de actinopterigios, entre los que se incluyen las merluzas, los bacalaos y otros similares. Su nombre procede del latín gadus, que significa bacalao. Aparecen por primera vez en el registro fósil en el Mioceno medio, a mitad del Terciario.
